Railway Recruitment Board, initially was known as Railway Service Commisssion, but it was renamed as Railway Recruitment Board in 1985.There are 21 RRB are working in all over the country and each RRB recruits on the basis of their specific criteria. RRB Cut Off declares on the basis of zone-wise and post-wise. Each post and each zone having the different cut off criteria with respect to the category of the candidates. Those who qualifies the cut off able to proceed for further selection procedures. RRB recruits the candidates for various departments of the board. About Railway Recruitment Board

Railway Recruitment Board is the Government Organization of India. It was set up in 1988 in the Ministry of Railways. It manages the recruitment of new employees to work in the Indian Railways. There are 21 RRB that conducts the exam every year for the recruitment in various post of Railways. It’s main objective is to Formulation of policy in regard to recruitment procedures, to monitor the activities of all Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) including expenditure incurred for recruitment, to evaluate the performance of RRB’s and advise them on priorities as required and organise a management information system for monitoring work done by RRB’s.
